I´m a little behind with my bee blocks ... and this one for
Bee Germany made me ... hm crazy! We had to cut diamonds and triangles - not such a problem though - but for ME!!!! The first strips I did cut wrong - to small!
I do not know what I measured ....
Okay - new fabric, new luck ... cutting went fine, but now - the sewing went wrong... I was supposed to pair the flowery fabric with the red one ...
My favourite tool ... the seam ripper - yeah!!
The next problem: my machine decided to eat fabric:
Well... at the end of yesterday I managed to sew 2 star blocks - not as perfect a I would have loved but the best I could:
Ich hatte Sterne zu nähen (Bee Germany - Monat Januar - Lieblingsdecke - Ulrike) - bestehend aus geschnittenen Diamant- und Dreiecksformen ... was soll ich sagen - diese Technik ist nicht mein Ding ... eine Erfahrung, die ich gerne gemacht habe ... aber die nächste Zeit werde ich wohl einen Bogen drumrum machen ... schaut euch nur die Bilder an ....

Für eine andere Bee Gruppe sollten wir Log Cabins nähen... ich weiß nicht, warum ich so lange damit gewartet habe ...

Hihi, das DANACH kommt mir aehr bekannt vor. Und auch die Frustration wenns nicht so klappt wie gewünscht. Es kann nur besser werden, die logcabin Blöcke sind authentisch, das passt.

Das Endergebnis zählt! Und das sieht super aus! Aber danke für deinen Bericht, so weiß ich das mir das manchmal nicht alleine so geht ;-)
ReplyDeleteBoah, was glaubst Du wie lange ich über der Anleitung gebrütet habe? Ich habe schon eher Sterne konstruiert, deswegen wars nicht ganz so schlimm, irgendwie musste die ja zusammen passen; aber ich habe das Blatt gedreht wie wild bis ich einmal verstanden habe wie das funktionieren könnte...
